Terms of service
Last updated 11 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Peekdrift: the website at peekdrift.com, the app at app.peekdrift.com, its API, and the peekdrift command-line tool when used with the service. Peekdrift is operated by Erwan Andre Marcel Joly, a sole trader in New Zealand (NZBN 9429050980765), referred to here as "we". By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you use Peekdrift for a company, you confirm you may accept these terms on its behalf.
The service
Peekdrift stores screenshots of your Storybook stories that your CI uploads, compares them with approved baselines, shows the differences for review and, if you connect GitHub, reports the results on your commits and pull requests. The command-line tool is published on npm under the MIT licence; these terms cover the hosted service.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in and project tokens secret. You're responsible for what happens under your account and with your tokens; revoke a token as soon as you think it has leaked.
- One Free organization per team. Creating extra organizations to get around plan limits is not allowed.
- You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
Acceptable use
Don't use Peekdrift to store or share unlawful content or content you have no right to upload, to attack or overload the service, to probe it for vulnerabilities without our written permission, or to access other customers' data. We may suspend accounts that do, and will tell you why unless the law or an active investigation prevents it.
Your content
Your snapshots, build details and review decisions remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to provide Peekdrift to you. We don't use them for anything else. When you delete an organization, or ask us to, we delete its snapshots.
Plans, limits and payment
- The Free plan includes 35,000 snapshots a month. Team includes 100,000 a month for US$29, and Business 500,000 a month for US$99. A snapshot is one story in one theme at one viewport, counted when it is uploaded. Limits reset on the 1st of each month (UTC).
- When an organization reaches its limit, new uploads are refused until the next month or an upgrade. There are no overage charges.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel from your organization's billing page at any time; a cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid, and partial months are not refunded except where the law requires it.
- Prices exclude taxes where taxes apply. We'll give at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change affects you.
Availability
We work to keep Peekdrift fast and available, but we don't promise uninterrupted service and offer no uptime guarantee. Builds never block your CI unless you choose --wait, so an outage delays reviews rather than your deploys.
Ending your use
You can stop using Peekdrift and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may end the service for an account that breaks these terms, or for everyone with at least 30 days' notice, in which case paid plans are refunded for any period not used.
Disclaimer and liability
Peekdrift is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and email account owners at least 30 days before the change applies. Continuing to use Peekdrift after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the courts of New Zealand have jurisdiction over any dispute, without taking away any consumer protection you have under the laws of the country where you live.
